Sim Racing buying guide
Most sim racers find that pedals improve lap times more than the wheel does. A load cell brake measures pressure rather than travel, which matches a real car and makes consistent braking far easier — so if you have a basic gear-driven wheel, upgrading pedals first is often the better spend.
Direct drive wheelbases connect the wheel straight to the motor, giving detailed, strong force feedback without gears or belts. Stronger is not always better: torque beyond roughly what you can comfortably hold adds cost and needs a sturdier rig or desk mount.
